Canadian Performance Injection

Avoid Engine Failure with a Clean running Fuel System

Looking for fuel injector cleaning (or other related services)?

THE CANADIAN PERFORMANCE INJECTION PROCESS:

pre-test

When injectors come to Canadian Performance Injection for flow testing, first any dirt is cleaned from the outside of the injector then they are run in a top of the line ASNU GDI flow bench where a leak test and initial flow test is conducted. This report is used to show the progress of the injector as it is cleaned and checks the condition of the solenoid to ensure its still in good working order.

machine cleaning

The injectors are then removed and put through a multistage ultrasonic cleaning process. This removes any contamination from inside the injector. Backflushing the injectors after ensures the removal of any larger debris. This debris leaves the injector through the inlet.

flow test

Once the cleaning process is completed the injectors receive new filters and are then put back in the flow bench for their final test the results. All injectors are returned to the customers in individually sealed packages with both the before and after flow test.

Why Flow Test Injectors?

Removing the injector from the engine and flow testing is the only way to verify the injector is functioning as it was intended.

OEM reasons
  • Rough Inconstant idle
  • Ethanol gunk’s injectors
  • Reduced fuel economy
  • Severe cases can lead to engine damage
Racing BENEFITS
  • Cylinder fueling balance
  • Consistent air fuel ratios
  • Methanol/Ethanol causing corrosion
  • Inconstant fueling can lead to detonation and engine damage

main Causes of Injector Failure:

One of the leading causes of fuel injector failure is contamination or foreign debris in the fuel system.

Debris can eventually make its way to the injectors and can cause the injectors to leak or stick open which can lead to poor running conditions or even in severe cases hydro lock the engine. Ethanol found in modern fuels also tends to break down any varnishes and debris in older fuel systems. If regular filter maintenance is not followed this can also lead to stuck or leaking injectors.

Many modern vehicles have switched to direct injection which puts the fuel injector directly in the combustion chamber where carbon deposits can build up on the tips of the injector which can greatly affect the performance of the injector.
